Making our way back West from Florida, we have been driving I 10. In Lordsburg NM last night, on to Phoenix today. What is the matter with this: the pavement is rough all the way from Jacksonville, with really bad sections. Wore out pavement with pot holes, broken concrete with holes bigger than the toad car wheels. It is an old highway that is not being maintained to proper standards. And it is very heavily traveled by commercial traffic. 3 trucks to every car. Hard on the bus and toad to be rattled like that all day long. The highways are good everywhere else...

Like everything else, money is needed for maintenance. I live in L.A. I remember in the 60's and 70's how nice and smooth all the roads were. Now L.A. has roads worse than New York. When I was driving truck, I-10 was my main highway since I did L.A. to Florida quite a bit. Western Texas had been repaved, and Louisiana was like a roller coaster to go across. Just have to be on the lookout for pot holes. Too bad you have the towed, you could drive in the 1st lane more, which is typically smoother since trucks don't drive in it. I know in Texas, you can drive in the fast lane pulling a trailer. Good Luck, TomC
The pavement was better today from Lordsburg westward and in Arizona.

Missed a good rally. 62 coaches showed up this year. A lot of fun
