That door can be a bear... >:(

If you are talking about how tightly it closes, the adjustment is simple - open the fold down door inside to the right under right windshield and loosen the jamb nuts and tighten or loosen as needed - its kind of hidden and to the left above the defroster motor box.

Now, if you are talking about overall alignment - it's on!

The lower hinge has a needle bearing pressed into it and sits on a pin. If the bearing is going bad, even a slight .1000 of wear or slip throws the top of that door off by a lot.

The upper hinge was cast steel and is prone to fracture after all of these years - I replaced mine and used washers to adjust the 'shim' of how it connects to the door. On mine the glass had to be removed to properly remove bolts as it connects to the large hinge. That opened another mess of problems re: the window seal as I have the single curved glass.

But wait, it's not over - there is a needle bearing inside the door opening mechanism where it meets the hinge - if its shot or deteriorating then you will have issues as well.

Hope this help....I can tell you I thought I had a bent door once but kept adjusting and it finally fits perfectly.  :)

(you can bend a door though, it's why I had to replace in the first place after impact with a fixed object ) :'(

Thanks a lot

If I look at the door from the outside it seams that if I were able to bring the bottom of the door to the left it would be fine. Top is a little to far to the left.

Sounds like upper hinge is worn.  Adjust the upper hinge it will pull upper left in and lower t left out.  Most  doors work the upper hinge harder.

Hi HMB & Folks:

There are bearings in the top & bottom hinges that can be replaced.
I have seen them wear until there is nothing  left of them.

We have them in stock if needed.

Hope this helps.

Happy & SAFE!! Bussin' to All.
