I have a Prevost with stainless steel rub rails that keep coming off.I have tried different adhesives with no real success.I talked with IBP with no great help.I do not think welding will work. Does anyone have any ideas which adhesive would work best to attach to the metal brackets. Don
I like some of the Loctite in the caulking area for various parts, some support connectors have a carry/hangar in their design to benefit from and share the load. If you have just a parallel connection surface good luck. I remember some other automotive trim brackets getting cupped from a pull so their actually a hair smaller and do not stay in the groove well, Maybe a photo can promote some others idea.
good day
I would think that sikaflex would hold. All of the siding on many of the newer buses is installed with it. It keeps our solar panels on the roof even though there is a gap between them and the roof.

3M 9086 double sided tape should do the trick for you, have you tried the 3M 5200 it's good stuff
I used DAP Polyurethane Sealant/adhesive extensively throughout my build. Very good stuff. I think it is the equivalent of the 3M 5200
