Title: Bus Nuts In Rocky Point for Christmas
Post by: Melbo on December 13, 2015, 06:24:10 AM
I was just wondering if there will be any busnuts from the board in Rocky Point for Christmas.  We thought it would be fun to head on down park on the beach and enjoy the sun.   ;D

Hey Mel. We are not even close. In Lafayette LA tonight. In the heart of Cajun country. Cold and rainy here. Going out for Cajun food tonight. We wish you a Merry Christmas. Hope it is nice and warm and sunny for you.

JC  the year we went to Arcadia we had everything freeze up when we were in LA on our way there.  I hope that doesn't happen to you.  Travel safe.

JC, Try Crawfish town in Breaux Bridge. Just north of the Interstate. We will be there in a week or two on our way to Quartzsite. Save some crawfish for me.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will.

Yesterday we had boudin balls at Billy's Boudin & Cracklins for lunch in Scott LA on the way into Lafayette. Oh so good!

Last night supper at Bon Temps Grill in Lafayette. Crawfish pot pie. Best meal we've had in a long time.

I now understand why Clifford said he couldn't get past New Orleans to get to the Arcadia rally, because the cajun food and sea food is so good around here...

Mel sorry for the thread drift. I hope you find good food at Rocky Point.

JC

Hi Melbo,
Where do you stay there?
We stayed there quite a few times when we were full timing, but after all these years it might be time to hang around again.

Frank we have always stayed a Playa Bonita RV park BUT this time we are going to be at Playa De Oro.  No particular reason just for a change of scenery.

Go south of Yuma until you get salt water on the tires.  The time we met Mel & Billie in Rocky Point there wasn't a soul at the border crossing.  We've been into Mexico numerous times and its always a bit of a fustercluck but that trip we sat at the crossing for 5 or 10 minutes waiting for someone to show up and finally just drove on.

We wish you a happy holiday there. Looks good from the photo. We are at a  Home Depot near Cape Canaveral. Doing the Kennedy Space Center tomorrow. St Augustine last night. Daytona Beach for lunch today. Beautiful coast, and weather. Too crowded though. Arcadia in a couple of days. Merry Christmas.
