So I decided to replace a couple of broken toggle switches today while the kids took a hike with their aunt and uncle. What I thought would take me an hour ended up taking all afternoon and replacing wires, running wires, changing light bulbs, chasing wires, etc.
I have working General lights, Reading lights, Stairwell lights. I know the "Seat Lights" are not connected, but where were they originally located? Under the seats? The walk isle?
Thanks
Nevermind! I found a reference of the "Isle seat lights". Looks like there were four lights on either side of the isle. Still don't know where the lights were mounted, though.
Usually on the bottom of the aisle seats facing down towards the aisle floor.

Mark -In addition to what Ryan said, they were, as OEM, tied into the Master Switch in the "Night" position.

Yup, they work only in the "Nite" position. I have 6 original seats but I haven't looked up under the three isle seats to see if they have any lights on them. I found the wiring for the isle lights coming out of the heater channels/ducts. I think I'll wire the switch to constant 12v and install some LED lights under the seats.

Yup, out of the HVAC ductwork is the way GMC (and MCI) did it.
IIRC, they were tucked in a corner of the seat frame in such a way that if service personnel were moving seats around they wouldn't affect the lights, other than to unplug them. (Unbolt the seat, roll the assembly on it's side toward the opposite wall of the coach, unplug the nite lite, then lift/carry the seat out.)
The LEDs will be considerably brighter than OEM, which were "soft" enough to provide just enough light for passengers to find their way to the head in the dark. Keep that in mind if you're planning on a similar to OEM use.

Russ! I knew you would know about these rarely seen and talked about mystery seat lights. I'm willing to bet you have a set in your hidden storage facility!

Mark -I don't think I do, but Luke might. I did find some used front Michigan Marker lites in a small box, tho. . .

RJ, you are correct as to how they are mounted. I just removed mine in the Prevost last month and that is exactly how they were mounted. If anybody wants some, I still have them.
