Title: Looking for a lightning technician called "Cory"
Post by: Gary LaBombard on November 20, 2015, 04:38:29 PM
Hey guys,
I need a name, (memory shake up) about someone those of us at the Southeast Busnuts bus rally held at Palmetto Cove, Cleveland, SC met a few years ago.  Linda and I sponsored a bus rally then and had the pleasure of having a (Elvis Presley Impersonator)(Mark Woodward) entertain us one night which was the best entertainment we have ever had at a rally.  Anyhow, We also were blessed to have a busnut called (Cory ?) that is a light technician for big bands and he offered to dress up Mark's Elvis show with all the flashing lights a professional could ask for.  What a great show he put on for Mark and everyone left with memories that I am told official organizers of the rally may wish to relive in April of 2016.

The Southeast Busnuts will announce their official plans for the (Spring In The Carolina's) bus rally in due time and I am sure their rally sponsor & co-sponsor Kyle Brandt also will chime in with an official announcement of the Spring April Rally.  Thoughts are being tossed around about having Mark do his Elvis Show again for us all, and all the ladies possibly get a Elvis necktie again and sleep with it that night!  lol

I am looking to find (Cory) if possible if I have his last name and I have been looking through all my records but Dahhhhh, I can't find any information.  Perhaps Cory will see this post and contact me directly.  We are trying to contact him to ask if it is possible that he can help out again to arrange professional lighting that he does for a living and do it for Mark's Elvis show.

I know this is early but I hope you all will try to plan to have time to come to this Southeast Busnuts Rally when it is officially announced, Date wise and location wise.  I am pretty sure it may be at Palmetto Cove and those that attended the last time Mark performed, (56 buses!!!) all had a wonderful weekend to remember.  I hope you will plan to repeat that again and those that did not attend will try to make future plans over the next few months to plan to attend this bus rally. Palmetto Cove is centrally located for Northern and Southern busnuts, and the Palmetto Cove is great for a rally with ample room for absolutely everyone with no reservations needed.

Anyhow, if anyone can help me out please post here or send me a PM and help me locate Cory to see if he can work his schedule to spend a couple of days with us.  If Cory sees this, contact me at : busconverter101@aol.com
I know, this was long as usual.  Oh well, too old to change now. I am just trying to help Kyle out with his CO-sponsor duties.
Have a great Weekend,
Gary

Thanks Clifford and Darkspeed, you guys rock!  I did send email to the address above to try to reach Cory and hope I can.  He is a fine man and lots of fun.  I did ask or asked in my email about the Prevost Clifford.  I will let you know if he writes back.

I put 5 gal + 1 qt of 85-140 gear lube oil in rustless money pit differential today, it took over 3 hrs because of the thickness of this lube.  What a pisser.  I have a question thought, I could not find any lubing port on the drop down box attached to the differential?  Does this get lubed as the rotation of the gearing picks it up when running down the road?  I have yet to do the tranny, that is Mondays job, my back is killing me from working my butsky off today transferring the oil to the differential.  thanks ahead of time for information as usual.  After the tranny is done, engine is all ready for the road!!! Yess and a hell of a lot of $$ putting every new lubricant, air line, fuel line and all the fittings involved.  Jesus!!

Have a great weekend you guys, tomorrow is the bid Nascar day, the champion ship race at Homestead is on and I will be drinking my beer through a straw all day long watching.

Preheat the oil in a tub of hot water or if metal, you can use a magnetic block heater with some supervision to avoid over heat.

Excellent idea, Chessie. Or yet another reason to live in warmer climates, lol.
