Title: 4104 PART NEEDED
Post by: Scott Crosby on November 17, 2015, 06:55:49 PM
I'm helping a friend with his 4104 and we are looking for a steering bracket where the steering passes through the bulkhead.  It uses the bracket as the mount for the front radius rod mount. It's I'm guessing about 12"x7"ish... His bracket is broken in multiple places.  Luke said it can be welded but his is broken in so many places I figured I would try to find one first before trying to get the cast aluminum part welded.

Part listed as BM in the key.  His radius rod was about to fall off his bus.  So if anyone is parting out a 4104 I'd like to see if you have this part.  I got it all apart yesterday.

Scott -

I'm not sure, but that bracket might be shared with the 4106s, too.  Don't know about the Buffalos - Luke's got a few he's parting out, he could check.

FWIW & HTH. . .

;)

Scott, if you cant find one, that would be a very easy part to make from steel.

Lathe turned tube and two plates.

+1...I have done this a few times as I don't have a tig.  So I make bits out of steel on lathe and mig.  Ex door hinge.
