If he is the Patrick who I think he is, yeah, he is an OK guy. Helped me greatly with my Crown years ago. A good guy indeed. Might make a good buy for somebody. Still not sure if it is a RTO or a RT.
The RTO had a 22% overdrive or a .82 to one 10th gear. With the RTO the actual real world torque holding ability was over 1200 ft pounds in 8th, 9th or 10th. This tranny worked behind 12V71 DDs.
Some here have Bus Conversions running the RTO or RT 910 Fuller 10 Speed Roadranger. A super nice tranny indeed. Now getting rare. All getting scrapped as the market need has declined.
RTO 9509 would be much better for us. Lower first gear and better overdrive ratio with a little wider spread between gears.

On the 9 speed
The low 1st gear position is not repeated on shift to high range. Sometimes drivers would use low gear in high range to avoid shifting to low range 4th in some driving situations.
If you have just the 4spd, even this close ratio 10spd will be a startability improvement plus having an overdrive. The new 10spds either have a 11.06 first or a 12.45 first. Much wider ratio since newer engines have wider operating range. Good Luck, TomC
