Anyone who has replaced their driver / Passenger windows with the sliders from Motion Windows what did you pay for yours?
I just called and they said $450 each but I thought it was recently less than that.

The question is-who else makes these windows as well as Penn glass?
I think it was 400 plus or so a year ago when I got one for the 4905. It is a quality item and I don't know of anyone that also makes them unless you find on being parted out. Quite impressive shipping container it came in. We had one from them in our 4104 from back in the 80's. They were probably in the 200 plus price range then. It comes with a substantial quality mounting gasket for it btw.

I did. I found that the non-sliding front part covers my mirror badly when backing up. I'm working on a fix. I had my driver/passenger windows made with a lighter tint than the other windows, but it's not light enough (if there's any glare or reflection on the window, it blocks out the mirror).
You have a GM coach also? BTW the factory window is curved some. The motion units are flat, but the gasket is made to work with no issues.

Do you mean me, Chessie? No, my bus isn't a GM but I replaced my driver's window (pretty badly deteriorated all around) with a Penin window, same size but I had to adapt the corners to the smaller Penin radius. The problem with glare and reflection on the window caught me by surprise, so I thought that I'd mention it. It really bothers me sometime; I don't know how/whether/how much it might be a problem in other buses.

I replaced the Driver's window on my Dina with a Motion Window and I have the same glare when backing up issue with the window. The front side with the original slid back, but the front side is stationary with the new window. With the old I could open the window if need be.

Thank you, I'll check that out. But it seems to me that the problem is two fold -- the clear windshield lets in lots of light from many sources (some focused and some stray) and that causes glare and bright spots on the inside of the window. The second issue is that the window is already too dark to readily see through and I'm afraid that even 90 film would only make that part of the equation worse. It's worth a try, but all the factors seem to me to be lining up against it helping.
(Also, remember that with old men, the eyes are the second thing to get unreliable at night. What you young fellas can get away with, is just beyond our capabilities.)
You can also buy cheap wireless backup cameras. I mounted one on each back corner of my bus because its easier than explaining to my wife how i can't see her when shes stands to far to the side. oh yeah and there is the sun thing. but it really helps so I can see the sides of the little truck i tow. had a blowout and only know it was flat and mangled when i pulled over for a break driving my mc5 down us 287 on a tornado day. 40 plus side winds all the way to texas. And people dont give you a heads up anymore. They are just glad to be passing you.

I have had Peninsula in different buses since the 90's single pane and double panes truthfully I can say I never was impressed with the product but they have made improvements over the years.
I never liked the mickey mouse screens on Peninsula windows but that has changed now at least now you can open one and it doesn't fall out
When Storm/Tite of Canada dropped out of the bus window replacement that only left Peninsula and the price of windows sky rocketed

Yeah, Clifford, I know what you mean. My Peninsula windows are a great improvement over what I had but they're not very impressive. When I was looking, I found a couple of apparently small manufacturers here in the South -- they seem to specialize in windows for mobile homes/"manufactured housing" but their catalogs show windows very much like Peninsula windows but I could never get a reply from them. Maybe they only deal wholesale with manufacturers who are corporate clients. I'm sorry now that I didn't pursue it a little more thoroughly.
