Title: Generator selonoid
Post by: Dietrichfarms on October 24, 2015, 04:32:27 PM
i have a 1977 Bowman generator. It's a 12.5 magnaPlus with a 4 cyl diesel engine. The shroud has Kohler blazed on it but no id plate, just some casting numbers in block. The fuel shut off rotary selonoid controlled by the Murphy controller has shorted out. The selonoid has no markings on it to be found. I have had it to several diesel shops no one has seen one like it. Anyone have any ideas on where else to look, several rotary selonoids online but I have no specs to match up too for force, degree of throw

Any continuous duty rotary solenoid should work for you like a Lepex or MSS $$$ ? is that a Perkins Diesel.

Trans Atlantic Diesel in VA will have the parts for the Bowman fwiw
