When I click on bus topics , it opens to that section. I then hover my mouse over a topic and I get this pop up advertising window that will redirect me to the site selling crap I am not interested in. If I want to read that topic, I have to click on it, be redirected and then hit the back arrow to finally get back to the topic I wanted to view.
Man, this stuff is annoying.....end of my rant!
use chrome browser and add the 'AdBlock' and 'AdBlock Plus' free extensions and you will never see any of that stuff.

I also use the one that blocks youtube video ads > https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-for-youtube/cmedhionkhpnakcndndgjdbohmhepckk (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-for-youtube/cmedhionkhpnakcndndgjdbohmhepckk)
I have been using Firefox for years and never had this issue. I have chrome and will give it a try.
Thanks for the response.
Sure.. Chrome is the most capable at blocking ads with the correct extensions. I dont do ads or popups..

Here's the irony. It's not freeware any more and when you install, it "pops up" a window asking you to pay. ???

I think you are missing the option to pay $0 somewhere, I just did this same install for my sister this week and it was free.
QuoteDo I have to pay for AdBlock?
No.
AdBlock is free. Payment is optional: you can pay whatever amount you want to and can afford to. If you don't want to or cannot afford to pay anything, you can use AdBlock for free. If you do pay, you can get a refund at any time.
Just checked - both are free - paying / donating is optional
Pretty sure what you're describing is the result of some adware that's managed to install itself on your computer - changing browsers might mask the symptom but won't cure the underlying infection. Same with Adblock software - it might stop adverts appearing, but this site doesn't use pop-up adverts so if you are seeing some you've got a problem elsewhere
Jeremy
When you install each it will (one time only) display a donation/payment page but it is not a popup it is a full page. Once you close that page you will never see it again.
As Jeremy said, you have other problems, best figure out the real issue

Yep! Did some digging and found a script trying to run every time I go on the net. Tomorrow I will deal with this.
Thanks for the input, everyone.

My older IBM PC would pickup trash and I would be be having to reboot all the time. So I bought a Mac. No more frustrating garbage dealing with viruses and a slow computer because of all the garbage I used to pic up on the internet.
