This is an ongoing project to adapt Motion Windows model 1800 insulated windows to a GM4106.
http://www.motionwindows.com/elite-dual-pane-windows-series-1800/ (http://www.motionwindows.com/elite-dual-pane-windows-series-1800/)
Motion windows can make 1800 windows in a parallelogram shape but are limited to a 3" radius on the glass which translates to a 3.75" radius on the outer edge of the aluminum frame.
The GM4106 has a combination of 5.5" and 8.75 radiuses in the window recess ( with the OEM window removed )
My proposed solution is a 16 gauge transition plate that fits the GM4106 window opening and has the correct cut out for the Model 1800 window in a parallelogram configuration.
In the drawing the off white area is the dimension of the GM4106 window recess and the blue is the glass area of the biggest model 1800 I could fit in the opening.
The very thin blue line represents the aluminum frame of the model 1800 window.
Its not that bad! Especially if the window adapter panel was color matched to the window frame.
This could be easily done on a 4104 as well.
To take this one step further.. Im testing a sample of 3M Crystalline film which should greatly increase this insulation performance of the 1800 windows

UPDATE :
I did end up going with this plan and the motion windows are on order.
4x insulated slider side windows , white frames , solar cool bronze glass
2x insulated D windows , white frames , solar cool bronze glass
1x driver /1x passenger slider , white frames , light bronze glass
1x insulated rear window 54 x 28 , white frames , solar cool bronze glass
I sent Jeff at Motion Windows cad drawings of the 4106 window recesses and he was able to MAX out the insulated windows to where they are almost the same size and shape of the OEM windows.
Jeff at Motion Windows was very good to work with!!

Are you replacing just the center section of the rear window?
-Tom P.
Hi Tom, yes. I welded in a 16 gauge sheet in place of the rear glass so im putting a rectangular insulated window between the two upright frame sections.
