Title: Biobor JF fuel additive for diesel fuel
Post by: roadrunnertex on January 08, 2007, 01:35:06 PM
I use this product (Biobor JF) fuel additive in my GMC Buffalo fuel tank.
It will prevent and eliminate microbial growth in all hydrocarbon fuels.
1/2 pint will treat just over 300 gallons of diesel fuel.
You can buy it at most marine supply stores.
1 quart is around $30.00 so this will treat over 1200 US gallons of diesel fuel.
No I do not own stock in the above products company.
Just trying to be helpful when it comes to clean fuel for our coaches.

Using an Algaecide, and Biobor is among the best, is a great idea...especially here in the south. It has been proven that the Algae spores are and have been present in the tanks of the storage depots for years.  Since the tanks at the storage facilities have abundant sunshine all the requirements are there for the proliferation of the algae.

If you should find algae in your filters you will need a greater than recommended dose of Algaecide than normal to 'shock treat' your tank to insure all the spores have been killed.

Let's hope that when the oil companies changed over to LSD they cleaned their tanks...but I wouldn't bet much money on it.
