Title: Looking for 1985 or 1986 Neoplan Service Manual
Post by: Gary Hatt - Publisher BCM on September 04, 2015, 11:14:32 AM
We have a new subscriber that has five 1985 and 1986 Neoplan buses that he bought at an auction and he needs the Service Manual for at least one of these years so he can fix them up and make at least four good busses out of them.  Please contact him directly. His name is Columbus Como in Dallas at (214) 929-4777 or you can email him at columbuscomo@yahoo.com. Any information is appreciated. You can reply to this form if you wish as well.

I've driven some of these same year buses.  Neoplan no longer builds buses in the US, so hard/unlikely to find new body parts in the states.  You didn't say which model he has, but the drive train on the ones I drove was just standard stuff, same as other buses.  The coaches were inline Detroit/Allison engines and tranmissions, although some of the transits were transverse as well.

I just talked to Columbus in Dallas and he said they were "used as transit buses here in the city of Dallas".  If that helps, plz respond to this thread and I will pass the word on to me Como.

Thanks in advance.
