Title: D50 Engine Mounts
Post by: moosemanusa on August 24, 2015, 12:14:00 PM
Does anyone know if the engine mounts for D50 are the same from a D60 on a truck chasis?

One of our mounts has given up, after a good search no luck online..

Engine mounts are OEM they may work you never know, I never saw a DD dealer sell engine mounts except for their power plant skid engines with the radiator, fan and clutch

aha good idea about the Skid engine plates...

I have no parts manual and its an odd year that was NovaBus / TMC and now prevost.. Some "G" part numbers on it.. some not..

Only heard of 1 person having books for the bus and they disappeared..

96 Novabus (if there's a 2nd person with books :) )

We have some 2002 Nova's.  They are CNG, but I'd be surprised if the motor mounts were different.  What do you need ----- a part number for the motor mount?

Yes please.. Should be a part with a prefix of "G"

The position of it is Rear exhaust side (Thats what the truck guys call it) to us bus mounts its the very back one :)

Okay.  Let me see what I can find.  I'm at a conference tomorrow, so will not be in to work.  It will be Wednesday before I can look.

MCI 12 with series 50 more than likely used the same mounts.  Call 800-241-2947 for MCI tech and they will give you the part number.  I would think you only need the rubber part.

You want dedicated Series 50 mounts. They are softer to deaden the rough idle the 4 cylinder has. The Series 60 mounts will be harder transferring more vibration. Good Luck, TomC

OK, see if his helps you any.  It appears to be item number 12, and the part number shows to be G1073247.  Both sides of the engine use the same part number according to this breakdown.  This is a manual for a 2002 Nova CNG bus with a Series 50.
