Title: Rebuilt entrance steps
Post by: Scott & Heather on August 18, 2015, 07:57:08 PM
So when we first bought our mci 9 and converted it, I tore out the stainless steps and built a curved stairway at a 90° angle so that I could put wife's copilot seat next to mine. She has since found the couch (or even the bed) more comfy so we removed her seat and now I wanted to get rid of the death trap stairway before it killed someone...this was my project this week. Oh yeah, installed bunk beds for future kids (our first one is due October 2) and completely removed and rebuilt/renovated our bathroom. Crazy thing is, our conversion is only 4 years old. I think we are crazy. Anyway, pictures:

When can I schedule you to stop by and remodel my steps?  I need some other work on my bus too.  It looks nice.

Scott, got some news for you ... we're all crazy ...  Good work.  (I need to do some work on my entrance step, too.  Yeah, step.)

Yeah, the good point is that the floor (on my lower level) is only about 20" off the ground.  Bad point is that I have no room for "bays" underneath.  But it's nice to step up one step, reach in the fridge (right next to the door on purpose), withdraw a foamy adult beverage, and retire to the comfy chair under the awning.
