Time for a blower assembly rebuild. Anyone know the seal numbers for the blower wheel shafts and if they are proprietary or not?

I noticed the other day I have one leaker also. Good timing for me on the seal number!

Off the shelf seals nothing special Eagle uses the same mitre box with the 6V engine,I have a couple of sets I will get the numbers for you later today, the input seal is different than the blower sides
CR # 13581 for the cage shaft seals. Not sure if the input shaft seal is the same or not. I am not going to change it at this time
Xover to a number of different brands
Wow. do those squirrel cages ever pop when releasing from the shaft!
Now does anyone know if the trumpet shaped cage seals are still available? Getting tired of waiting on the MCI tech department to reissue me a new pwd so I can order on line. I may, just may, have to actually talk to someone to get some information and order some parts. Oh my, how 90s!
Ugh. Good luck on this. Thankfully our new bus just had this done by the previous owner. If I were with the new bus in michigan I would send you the two new blower squirrel cage fans. But they are 1200 miles away locked up in the luggage bay :(

Looking at that and been there sure makes me happy the D has a fan and belts
My rad cores are also looking a little worse for wear but will have to wait. I hope they can be changed out without having to remove the blower assembly when it comes to be that time.
In the meantime I found that soaking the squrrel cages in some diesel fuel/solvent mix has loosened the sludge and even a lot of the old paint. I am going to sandblast/strip off all the old paint from everything while I am at it. The seals went in just fine and all the gears look relatively new. I tightened up some of the back lash while I was at it. Only about 4 more days of cleaning and prep and I should be ready for painting :o
The rads come right out without messing with the blower assy.
Ditto ^ just replaced my radiators in my mci 9 last summer. Not too hard, but definitely annoying
