Title: Air tank in left rear bay
Post by: steve5B on January 07, 2007, 02:25:29 PM
I have a question, I have noticed I have an air tank in the left rear baggage bay of my MCI-5B. I have no idea what it is there for. Does anyone have the same setup?  I hate to ask something that sounds silly, but I was wondering.

Steve, That is the air for the rear brakes.  A supply close to were it is needed.   Tom Y

Hi Tom, thanks for the info. Being new to this bus concept I really don't know much about being a owner of a bus. I'm sure I'll get there someday.  Thanks a million!

I don't think your 5B came from the factory with an air tank in a baggage bay. The wet tank is immediately behind the rear bay bulkhead and if it leaked someone may have put a replacement tank in the bay.

Follow the air lines and find out where they go.

Stan, Mine was this way from the factory  a 5C.  The air goes from the compresser to the air dryer to the wet tank then to the Brake tank and the other tank by the front axle and also the tank under the driver (acces. tank).  I moved my brake tank because I wanted to put my gray and water tanks there.   Tom Y
