The P.O. Installed the Jake's but didn't get around to hooking then up. I'm thinking of just putting a switch on the floor by my left foot and use it kinda like a retarded/left foot brake like some have mentioned on here. So one way is to hook up all and just have a all or nothing setup but is it worth it to make a "half" setting with an automatic? And what exactly is half Jake's? Is it just one bank on and the other off? Does it matter which bank?
Thanks
Eric

I take the 5th on this one ;D
You could do it many ways except requiring the circuit that allows the Jake to only work in lock up clutch mode with the automatic? Otherwise it would be nearly impossible to control the Bus Conversion with the engine stalled in convertor mode.
FWIW, years ago my daily ride Crown Supercoach had the Jake wired up very basically. One had to remember to turn it off. Otherwise it would stall the engine instantly at idle in neutral with the clutch out. A slight throttle pressure was necessary to keep running.
No big deal. One quickly adjusted. Cummings 743 220 with a Spicer 5 speed later a RTO910 tranny.

mount the switch on the shifter :)
Mine is hooked up properly. off-low-high switch on the dash, and the gas pedal has to be released with the automatic transmission in lock up to work. Highly recommend you do it this way. Good Luck, TomC
