Wow, that's a lot of work..  All that fabrication.   It's sad to see you have to sell it.    The EL3 is still one of the nicest looking buses built.  Good luck with the sale Jim.

Good luck Jim! Sorry we couldn't take her off your hands. Our new to us 102C3 just doesn't quite look as good as your EL3. You'll sell it. Really nice chassis and very well built and reinforced slide outs. Someone's gonna get a really nice bus.

There may be a concern about posting a link JC but put MCI and EL3 into the eBay search and it will come right up.

Hey guys. I think I found it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-MCI-102EL3-Renissance-shell-RV-Project-with-2-slides-/191651071243 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-MCI-102EL3-Renissance-shell-RV-Project-with-2-slides-/191651071243) Nice bus! You put a TON of work into that bus!

For the record, there are no issues with me posting the link. Nothing in the rules says that an independent third party can't post a link to a cool bus.

Happy thoughts ;D

Free bump :) and john316, are you the same one that sold your DL3 to Cliff? Do you still have a bus? I notice you posting on the forum and I must say, if you did sell your bus, it is really really cool to see you still active on here. Most people who sell their coaches leave the forum and never really contribute anymore and that pains me. Cool beans and kudos :)

Hey Scott. You bet. Cliff has our bus now. I do NOT want another bus. However, I do know enough about them to help others out. Right after we sold our bus, and I was glad I didn't have to deal with break downs anymore, I found myself outside in 13d weather helping a gospel group get back on the road. Then there was the time a few weeks ago that it was 100+, and a charter was broken down. It was full of soldiers, and they were all standing out in the weeds, swapping stories about Iraq. The driver didn't know how to replace a belt. We got them back on the road in no time.

So with knowledge comes responsibility, I think. Everyone helped me out so much, that I like to drop by and help when I can. ;D

Nice :) makes me happy. What would you buy if you wanted to be on the road fulltime again?

A toterhome. I know, the ride is rougher, and it is louder. However, mechanics that can work on them are a dime a dozen. Everything is accessible (comparatively), and they are easier to work on.

Yeah ... I get that. We were pretty set on getting or building a toter until the Arcadia rally last year. A guy let us tour his 45 footer and there were a couple of things I didn't like: 1 it was noisy in the cab
2. Only 33 feet of livable space.
3. Rode rough enough that it was breaking their pocket doors (that's what his wife told me) so as beautiful as it was, we just reverted our desire back to coaches again. They are drama. Serious drama, but for us, having full living space, a cushy and quiet ride were important....

John, seeing all the items you replaced on the DL it doesn't like you had trouble finding a bus mechanic every place I look I see $$$ you and Steve spent

I replaced almost everything on there, except things on the engine and tranny. We spent a bucket load on that thing ;D. I hated being broken down on the road. Not cool
