Title: Engine rotation
Post by: jonboy on July 15, 2015, 02:13:26 PM
Hello group I'm looking at old greyhound buses with the 6-71 Detroit Diesel engine. I'm looking for a water pump to replace the leaking one on the bus. Does any one know the rotation is it a left or right, it makes a difference.

Thanks for any help, jonboy

Isn't the water pump driven directly off the cam, and doesn't the cam rotate the same way regardless of the rotation of the crankshaft?

Not on a 6L71 Brian they use balance shaft on 1 side
