Nope. Too dinky of a Cummings. However, a very cool and apparently well done non usual swap. Looks like a 12 valve which is good. Also no intercooler. Now a healthy 855 Big Cam 2 set up at around 475 hp. does sound good. Just me. But the old 318 Detroit sounded the best. Cool. HB
Ha...just because you can doesn't mean you should ???... but I do like those old round eyed Impala's ;D
What a waste of a nice Impala.
Those are sissy engines. This is the real Cummins 220 with twin sticks, no power steering, no A/C-when truck drivers were real professionals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrWeAHdz80s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrWeAHdz80s) Good Luck, TomC
97 north out of weed headed to K Falls?
Hey hey hey guys that's the company I own(part or it) so be careful what you say. Now CAT and MAXXFORCE you can blast all you want. :) Those old CUMMINS engines were good no question. But you have to remember that the smaller B series are great in the light and medium trucks and school buses and have proven themselves many times over. It'll be interesting to see how that new ISV V8 will get over in the '16 NISSAN TITAN. It does seem funny that someone would put a old RAM TRUCK engine in an old CHEVY. Probably made the diehard CHEVROLET guys mad.
That ISB 6.7 (and the 5.9) are tough little engines. Cummins Marine has the 6.7 rating up to 550hp-course that's a 15 minute peak rating. In our Freightliner M2106 and 108SD trucks, the 6.7 is the most reliable engine of our entire line. Considering now many we sell, you don't see them very often in service. Our standard engine is the 200hp @ 520lb/ft. We usually use the 220hp @ 520lb/ft torque for the 26,000gvw. Then going to the 33,000gvw, we bump it up to 250hp and 660lb/ft torque. Good, quiet engines that get reasonably good fuel mileage. There's a 360hp @ 800lb/ft for RV/emergency vehcile rating. Low mileage use. Good Luck, TomC
TomC; Thank you. Those were the days my friend, we thought they would never end. HB
Tomc, I'm one of the young guys (32) and that video made my day. Just nice all the way around.

TomC, the only thing missing from that video is..."You can't catch me on the grade!!!" He's got some, some souped up diesel my car's not powerful enough..just take it easy." "Comon car Comon!!!!!" That sound makes me think of that red PLYMOUTH VALIANT being chased. Thanks for posting that.
