Title: Gumpy saved me from headlight hell… All hail the Gumpster
Post by: RickB on June 24, 2015, 06:55:25 PM
Alright I admit it. It was my bad. But in my defense I was only proving what I've been saying all along. I don't know jack about electrical. When I changed out the batteries last fall I put one of the connections on the wrong side of the first battery. So, when it came time to turn on the headlights. Kaboom 24 volts to a 12 volt bulb. I was explaining it to Craig and he said "wait a minute, tell me again how your battery is wired. 5 minutes later... I had lights. The guys a stinking genius.

Grateful.     This is gonna cost me a big steak and god knows how much ribbing around a campfire. LOL

Air leak and jakes is all I have left before Colorado next week

After toasting the ECM in our DDEC with that one, even though I was being careful, I labeled all the cables and which post they went to.

You can use colored tape or even spray paint to color code the cables before you remove them.

Niles what's the significance of those two towns? Busnuts live there? We haven't left on our trip yet so maybe we can stop and meet them.

Clifford, If I remember right that is about as far away from us as you can get and still be in the state. LOL. I doubt we'll connect as we start our voyage home on the afternoon of the 10th but it's almost worth staying to meet the guy that has helped so many out here on this blog.

Rick evidently FolkBus lives there, they are just junction towns on 50/550, Montrose is big, Ridgway is tiny but was home to Dennis Weaver till he died and is where they filmed True Grit

We're headed to Grand Junction for the 4th weekend, then up to Wyoming for a couple days fishing. If anyone wants to join us, we'll be up near Battle Pass west of Encampment on
Tuesday and Wednesday.

You should come up there, Rick. I'll show you the real sights. Not that touristy crap in Colorado.
