Looking to purchase all the necessary equipment for our toad. Has any one used a Brake Buddy braking system or currently own one? Any feedback? Thanks
Look up 321592628312 on ebay. fred hope has a good wright up on one he made.
I have done a small amount of research lately on this for our own needs. From what I understand, the better systems are the ones that work between your booster and master cylinder versus the ram that presses the pedal. Have you researched these?

My dad has has several toads and on the last one he wishes he had gone to the air cyl style. I think that is the one I'm going to use on mine. FWIW

I have a Brake Buddy that I got off Craigslist for around $150. Truthfully, my only concern is meeting legal requirements. Otherwise I would not even use one. Between my bus brakes and the Jakes, I really do not think I have stopping issues. I set the BB to its least sensitive setting since I do not want it applying the toad brakes unnecessarily. However, having the breakaway protection is a good thing.
The RoadMaster Air Brake is proportional, it reacts to the air brakes in the coach system.
Maybe the buddy brake does to, I just like the idea that air goes to an onboard air system in the toad.
Hi peenhead,
I have a Brake Buddy for the last 10 years.
I've had no problems with it.
Don't know how it rates against any of the other systems BUT I like it.
