Title: Rewiring Interior
Post by: peenhead on June 13, 2015, 06:15:27 AM
Starting to put the interior of the bus back together. Is it best to go ahead and replace all the wiring while I have the ceiling down? The wiring seems to be in good shape, but the bus sat for several years prior to our purchase. I plan to replace all breakers, but now is the time to do it all if there is a benefit.

Also planning to replace rooftop AC units. Any recommendations on low profile units?

Thanks.

I just went through the deal on AC units Dennis after a couple of failures on the Penguin 11 I did a lot of searching and decided on the Mach 8

Sorta of like ice cream with AC units as you will find out here but being the Mach 8 was American made in KS and the Penguin was made in Mexico that was also a deciding factor for me so I paid the difference in price and went with Coleman

i probably would not change them, but i knoe not what they look like, how long they have been there, whether they are chassis or house....or if they are wired properly now...

what i would do is know all that.
then i would add some, incase i decide to add more air cond, or lighting or fans or outlets or...whatever

I would keep the wiring that was good.  19952's suggestion of putting wire for future use sounds good too.
