Title: Mapping Apps on Smart Phones
Post by: TheHollands! on June 10, 2015, 07:05:07 PM
Wondering what folks use to get around, we use google maps on our I-phone but I wouldn't mind an option for trucks. We are working our way up through the North east and the roads are getting smaller. Google maps takes you the quickest route but not always the best for a bus. Thanks, Craig

Be really careful in towns where the Northeast Corridor goes through.  The rail line is old and many of the bridges have low clearance.  I was in a couple of towns where you might have to drive past four or five underpasses going under the Northeast Corridor to find one tall enough for a bus.  I almost made my bus into a convertible on one of those bridges.  I stopped less than six inches from the bridge.  I had missed the bridge clearance sign.

Can't help on the app but I see you said Northeast. If you happen to be in central Connecticut even though we really don't know you stop by if available. We have water,50amp or 30amp connection, pool. I am working on my coach and always looking to see someone elses and exchange ideas.

Thanks for the ideas folks. Steve, we'll be in Middletown CT June 26th performing at the Buttonwood Theatre. Not sure what day we roll in but I'll check with my wife. A spot to park would be awesome, love to see what your working on.
