Perhaps some pictures of what is already in place might be in order, that way we could possibly point you in the right direction...
Check on Ebay, as manuals for the older models show up there all the time. Also check GM transit bus forums. Some members may already have wiring diagrams.
I do not know what is or is not hooked up but I know that you do not need to hook up much to get it moving. I would start by figuring out what you need to hook up then identify these items and find out how to do them first.
Maybe we can make up a list here on the forum.
I will start.
Fuel lines
battery cables
starter wiring
air compressor line
i am ainly concerned with the lines on the tranmission. as well as a line that comes from the back of the power streering pump.and one that comes off off the top of the water pump. ill try and post some pictures today. mainly im concerned with th transmission. scared to fire it up incase i blow something up.
thanks
somewhere on the transmission, there was originally an indentification plate. On most transits of that era, the transmission was a VS-2-(something), likely a VS2-6. Manuals for these with all the information you need are often available from several vendors on eBay
The same is true for your 5303 - transit manuals are a drag on the market there and there should be plenty available.
Need to know how the transmission is plumed. ther are two valve bodies. on with the neutral soleniod. how are they plumed in relation to the governor. i have the manual for the transmission but it says relatively nothing about how its plumbed. i am located in alberta, canada and resourses are a bit short up here.
thanks for any help
