Title: Interior milestone
Post by: Brian Diehl on June 07, 2015, 08:06:38 AM
Well - 12 years later I hit a major interior milestone - the ceiling is done and all the lights are hooked up.  I have had wires hanging down from the ceiling for almost 9 years when I pulled all the wiring back in 2005. I took this picture yesterday after I finished hooking up the last of the LED ceiling lights.

This is probably the most beautiful ceiling I've seen in a bus.  Well done!!

Brian,

Looks amazing!! Hey I have a question. Where did you get the wall treatment? Is it like a prefinished board type wall covering or is that tile?

Rick - the walls are simply vinyl wall "grass" wall paper.  It looks sharp!

What is it on  -  raw plywood, painted plywood, something else?   And how is it glued on?   It looks really good  -  if it's easier than laminate, I'll be tempted to do it for my walls.

The wall paper was installed on primed plywood.  The wall paper I bought was the king that has been "pre pasted'.  The ceiling is also wall paper.  Installing it was an exercise in frustration.  In the end I needed to use glue to get some of the edges to stay down.  I used a very small paint brush and wall paper glue and applied carefully to all seams that had not sealed properly.  It was time consuming and tedious, but I really like the results.
