Four of us are on our way to Alaska in four buses with toads. We're trying to post our adventures daily. Come ride with us over at eaglesinternational.com.
Trip of a life time Gary BTDT enjoy and be safe, also tell Wayne to stock up on Coor's the people in that part of the world only drink real beer
Gary, I'll be watching your trip closely. My post-seated, pre-converted coach will be making the trip up to AK in July. Can't wait! I just signed up for CoachNet yesterday, after confirming that they will in fact cover me in Canada. :)
Have a good time. Drink COORS if you want but as long as you're going up to Alaska, you may as well try ALASKAN BREWING COMPANY beer. Their products are available at least here in the Milwaukee area and have a wide range. I like the darker heavy stuff and they have those.
For anyone else like me who was caught up on the http://eaglesinternational.com/ (http://eaglesinternational.com/) thing, it's http://eaglesinternational.net/. (http://eaglesinternational.net/.)
Why don't you keep a travelogue in the Travel and Use section. Those topics stay on the first page almost forever, and it will be easy for us to keep up with your progress. Give us an abundance of outstanding photos and stimulating prose so we can live the trip vicariously.
But don't feel any pressure.
Have a wonderful time.
Jim
Keep in mind, if you ask for am imported beer in Canada.... You are likely to get an Oly beer or a Lone Star :)
The Eagle board is a good place so much easier to post photos there and it needs the traffic as the board is dying a slow death not much goes on there any more, fwiw you can follow the trip without joining you just cannot post a comment
The wife and I were up there in 2004. Can't wait to finish the bus and drive up again.
Bruce
Have a great time! See you when you get back!

Ken
"Are we there yet"? We were there now we're here. :)

(Many of you may not know that Gary "Garhawk" and I worked together in the same office off and on from 1974 until about 1978. Then I moved overseas and he started a company back in Tenn and we lost touch. We happened to run across each other on one of these bus conversion boards about 8 years ago and have visited back and forth, compared notes, etc. since then. I'm really envious of this Alaska trip!)

Hey Guys,
I am unable to post this information on the Eagles Board any longer as I have resigned from that forum and now I can not post any information any longer there because of also dropping out of (Family Motor Coach) and to be able to be a member again of EAgles International you have to be an active member of (FMCA) which will never happen.
Any how to those making their trudge up to Alaska I wanted to give you a place to stop on your trip through British Columbia, CA. This will truly take you a long time to enjoy and you will, and the price is fantastic, about $3 US, money each to visit. This is the best, most interesting museum we seen on our entire trip to and from Alaska and if you look it up in your (Mile Post) magazine. You will find out exactly in BC where this museum is, please take the time to stop and enjoy. It may take you several hours to see everything and enjoy the time lapse from today into many years ago of our youth. You want the (Fort Nelson Heritage Museum) as there may be other museums there as well but I am not sure. We did not see others, this one really hit the spot for us.
Here is the link to the museum, You will not be sorry for planning to stop at. https://www.google.com/search?q=museum+in+fort+nelson+canada&biw=1024&bih=649&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ErprVY3iMoXXoATq-IOIDg&ved=0CD0QsAQ (https://www.google.com/search?q=museum+in+fort+nelson+canada&biw=1024&bih=649&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ErprVY3iMoXXoATq-IOIDg&ved=0CD0QsAQ)
May your trip be safe and enjoyable to and from Alaska. It will be long, take your time and stop together when something is needing to be enjoyed by all.
God Speed to you all,
Gary
When you get to Whitehorse the transportation museum is interesting too. It's at the airport and you can't miss it because the airport has the only complete DC-3 weather vane on a pole in the world, lol.
