Title: V730 reverser questions
Post by: krcevs on May 28, 2015, 12:47:04 PM
So if I install a right hand rotation engine into my GM bus with a V730 with a reverser will it survive traveling hwy speeds and what would my fuel mileage look like with everything being the same as a 8v71LH with a V730?

Just brain storming.

Does anyone have a right hand rotation engine with a V731R transmission? Any Nova owners out there?

Other buses used the V drive with the series 50 with either the V731R or ZF transmissions you are not married just to the RTS.

I know where a RTS is for sale that has V731R but it has a right handed 6V92TA DDEC 111  engine

Toronto is retiring the last of their Nova RTS with S50 and VR730R.

The reversers were never reported as being a problem amongst the mechanics here.

Happy coaching!
