Hope this isn't a repost, but I found an interesting article on a GM Futurliner that sold for over $4 million at auction:

Yea Delzy,
It's a repost... If you look at the date on the story, it says 1-26-06'
Barrett Jackson's auction starts the third week of this month in Scottsdale AZ.
Nick-
I had not seen that before. That is amazing! Something tells me you will never see it on the road though. ;)
that futureliner as wel a few other restored ones regularly drive around on their own power
and despite them being very cool art deco designs........NOT a Bus....it's a truck

I agree with that!! Reminds me more of a train from the front! :)
The only reason it is not considered a bus is because it never had seats and was intended to carry passengers. I wouldn't criticize anyone calling it a bus as the design of at least the rear is similiar to buses from the same era.
Anyone who pays $4.1 million for a bus/truck/whatyamacallit would have to be crazy to ever take it out on a public highway.
The Futurliner owned by NATMUS is transported on a special trailer designed just for the Futrliner. I don't believe it gets driven a whole lot.

The report last February was that the Futureliner buyer drove it home from the auction.
