Pretty sad. . .

OTOH, it would be nice if some busnut in the Salem area might be able to chat with Wiltse's Towing - the outfit that pulled the wreck from WalMart - and find out what's going to happen to the bus now.  Besides possibly getting the VIN off the coach for Jon's list, it would be nice to salvage a few of the rare things that survived, like the front clearance lamp lenses.

Who's close by???

Wiltse's Towing
3118 Cherry Ave NE
Salem, OR 97301
Phone: 503-581-1533
Toll Free: 888-581-4869
Fax: 503-581-9643

Anyone??

FWIW & HTH. . .

:'(

Overzealous use of that equipment. Some leo's go crazy with that stuff.

I'll be there next month. I'll stop by Wiltsie's and see if I can take a peak if it's still there.

Where would the VIN # be located?

7 hr standoff, while he was shooting at the police. LOL, nope. I would like to commend those LEO's for a HUGE display of restraint. They were in a public area. The crazy inside was trying to take officers lives. And they didn't open it up until several hours in. If they would have lobbed an actual live grenade inside after an hour, and watch it blow up, then I agree. Overzealous. In this case, tons of restraint.

It's easy to be armchair police officers. Until you have walked a mile in their shoes, you shouldn't cast stones.

And yes, I did just arrive back home from a developing country where you can't trust the police at all. We are so blessed over here, and people endlessly whine about the police. Seriously! /////Rant over/////

John, you are exactly on target with that. Yes it's a shame that the grand old bus was damaged like that and perhaps it's not all lost. But when it comes to public safety and concern, that trumps a bus. I too am sick of all of the cop bashing. They put their lives on the line everyday against the turds and pukes that are allowed to roam the landscape. They have family and friends that love and care about them and deserve better than that. Save the contempt for the criminals.

Dreamscape,

Open tool door, front left corner of coach. Number is stamped to the frame to the left of the air tank.

All us busnuts should riot and demand justice for that poor little bus! He was such a nice young bus! His only crime
was leaking a little oil on the parking lot. He didn't deserve to be tore up like that!

That's it. To your social media outlets. We'll organize a professional riot! We'll burn a few stores (I understand there
was a wallmart close by), smash a few police cars. Those bad officers will be held accountable for the senseless killing
of that unarmed bus! They used a black armored vehicle. It must be racism, I tell you... or maybe it Busism! Yeah, that's it.
Busism with a capital B!

Oh, and about rioting over the killing of the Caucasian male... yeah, not so much.  He kind of got what he asked for.

I'm with Gumpy and Dave here. We need to do something NOW! That poor bus was just turning it's life around. It was about to be bought by someone else, and have everything upgraded. Things have gone too far ;D ;D ;D

I wonder why they called in about a suspicious looking vehicle in the parking lot. He was parked in an RV space and the paint looks better than mine. I hope just being in a bus does not make us suspicious looking.

Justice! We want justice!

We don't know what the hell justice is, but we're going to yell and scream about wanting it while we burn and loot everything in sight because CNN will to put our pictures on TV.
Oh, and because we can get more free stuff!

JUSTICE!  Justice for that poor unarmed bus.

Good news is the gangs are now peace keepers out there. They are basically leading prayer services, holding hands, and singing kumbaya. I was literally LOLing when they were feeding that report that line of crud. It was seriously hilarious.

Craig said it in so many words. The Media is pushing all this stuff. Sad that we've got to this. Now in Los Angeles times 2 days ago there was an article about if you take a video with your phone of what the police are doing to someone that you can send it with some APP to ACLU and they will archive it in case the police take and destroy your phone???

And still in Ferguson they don't tell abvout the guy who stole from the store or pushed the store owner against the wall as he was stealing his stuff. The times they are a changing.

The prior owner of that bus commented of FB about her 'old' coach while it was being shot up, she was expectedly very sad to see it happening. Can't remember her name but she would have the vin I bet, was very attached to it.

Yeah, I saw that. Understandable she was upset.
