Think I'll buy it ;D
Jeeze, it's not far from where I live. I should make a trip to see it. But it's probably covered in three feet of snow now, though. Lord knows we've been...
Cool!

1.25 million and they used they couldn't find anything other than bus seats to put in it??
What a joke!
It's not legal to drive on the road, either, without special permits.
Craig:
I agree, 1.25 Mil and they still have standard bus seats. Didn't these things (the Neoplans) sell for as little as $25k ?? The photos didn't show much of an interior worth $1.25 Mil. Poor quality! Aside from the issue of where to drive this thing.

I saw that bus driving down I-25 between Ft Collins and Loveland a few months ago....I almost drove off the shoulder while rubber necking...It is a Monster.
Hmmm...just think of the possibilities.

What I noticed is the lack of a front window for the passengers on the second level. All that money and no front view?
BTW, what is KSC using for tour buses since they retired these monsters?

I saw this thing on ebay when it first listed. All I could think of was all the places you can't take it!
I admit it is a real head turner.
I'll stick with our Eagle, Thank You Very Much ;) ;) ;) ;).
Happy Trails,

If you look close enough that is the shoddiest upholstery work I've ever seen. Don't think the Barrett Jackson will except it for auction
Capt Ron, I noticed the same thing. They should've let some of these ol busnuts teach them a thing or two about custom conversion! ;)
Kennedy Space Centre bought a fleet of MCI DL models, 8 video monitors and roomy transit style seating. I counted no less than 45 coaches last New Year's.
Those Neoplans sold for close to scrap money, no one can operate them on the road, the broker had a heck of a time unloading them. They have sat for a few years now.
happy coaching!

For the price their asking, they're motivated alright. Motivated by greed. Biggest bus on the planet? I wonder. An articulated is ten feet longer.
I do like the bar though! ;D
Comes with it's own lil cash register, I would need it to make the payments off my freeloading friends1 :D
In my opinion, the single best feature of those neoplans is the really nice panoramic view out the front wrap around windshiled - and these guys blanked it out! What a waste. I'm not sure I'd pay even $50,000 for it.
Not even a Series 60 for a million buck$! The price is pretty comical.
bb
It did not sell, even at $475.000

Nick-
Do you think that was a fair price?? The buy it now price was way over a million. Usually that means that id close to what they want. That seems a little salty to me, but what do I know?? (as you can tell, very little)
I'd like to have it,
Chaz
The Sellers are insane for not taking an offer of nearly $1/2 milliion for that thing. It's a 20 year-old Neanderthal... overweight, underpowered, and poorly-converted. It's probably not even worth six-figures, IMHO.
I'd still like to see it, though!
