Baby steps ,Grama use to say !!
Flew down to Fla on Sun to drive her 100 + miles north of where she was stored (Port Charollete) to JB'Bus repair in Bushnell Fla where I had made arrangements with JB a few weeks ago .Thanks to Ace and Manny' referral at the Arcadia JB was glad to make room for me :-)
So....Fueled her up she only took about $100 in the main 144 gal tank and was able to squeeze in 65 cents in the 100 gal Gen tank .checked all fluids, belts, air up, air in dry rotted rear :-( and new fronts :-) ,checked all lights, mirrors wipers and anything else I could think of .
Hit 75 north round 12 noon on Monday and about 51 miles from Bushnell the noise !!!! sounded like somebody dropped a big TV in the rear of the bus !!! Then saw the rubber flying in the rear view !! corse had to be in a construction zone /no workers tho/ pulled her over walked back and saw this》》》》
Called coach net and 60 minutes later here he comes .....a bit skeptical but got the job done...
40 minutes later pulled into JB'S went over my list and his concerns shook hands and felt very well about the hands I gave her to..
So if all works well I'll be cruising her up to New Hampshire...
Still can't post pics ??? Help/again !!:-)
Boarding flight home from Sarasota now,I'll try pics later .
Great to see another New Englander here!! Sounds like a great adventure coming your way.

Tire monkeys that stick a weight on the outside of an Alcoa wheel.....ugh.
yes my mike, looks like another great adventure coming my way !! the good thing is I feel quite warm and fuzzy about leaving her with JB to have him check it out and fixing her and make her safe for the trip.what part of New England are you in? There are a couple of other guys here that I know one and southern New Hampshire like me on the other one a little bit north of me.
Boomer, funny you said that about the wheel weights I don't know much about it but from the get go it look tacky! I'm getting four new tires on the rear .we'll see where the weights are this time.
.
Thanks again Craig!!
Hope all is well in your neck O the woods!
Doing good here. Back to work now so no time for anything.
Glad to see your update. Sorry we couldn't make it work out to get down and help you get her home, but seems like you're well on your way now.
Too bad about the tire. Hope it didn't damage the bus any.
Keep updating on your progress.
How old are the tires?
There were so many others to do in such a short time that I never looked at the date on the tires. But knew we were taking a big chance at highway speeds. and a main objective in bringing it up to JB was four tires . as I replaced 2 new drivers a few months ago. but my guess is at least 15 years old. if not over.
Year and model?
