Looking to get a 7lb package 36"x36"x12" from Florida to Wichita, Ks.
I know it's asking a lot but ups wants more than $200 and uship hasnt gave me any bites yet.
So if anyone can help I'd gladly appreciate it!
Might be helpful to post on some of the RV forums on Facebook.
Why so much by UPS? FYI, FedEx Ground from Miami to Wichita is only $14.45 for a 7 lb box, and their Express overnight services are less than $100. UPS's rates usually aren't much different than FedEx's. If you are shipping through one of "The UPS Store" shops, their rates are way higher than UPS's - they are a separate company, so they mark up (heavily) UPS's rates.
How about shipping it by Greyhound or Amtrak?
John
They charge by the pound and by the package size,I thought Susan worked for FED X ? even the USPS has become stupid on their shipping fees now but still cheaper than Brown or Fed X
Thanks guys but plans have changed of course and the guy in Ks who first said he'd repair a part for my kart now says he won't pay for the return shipping so I'm going to have it repaired locally!
It was his fault to begin with and I thought he'd do the right thing IF I got it to him but after today, that changed!
Susan hasn't worked for FedEx in 4 years since her layoff and went to work immediately for USF in Tampa until tomorrow when she resigns for an offer she received for 30k$ more per year and she wasn't looking to change but it's too good to turn down! :)
Thanks for the help!
Ace I think you made the right choice! If the guy in KS won't make good on his mistake then go local! (might turn out whoever repairs it local would like some regular repeat business and word of mouth advertising if he does a good job!)
And congrats on Susan's new job offer! (pass it on to her for me!)
PS hows the truck coming? (I haven't started on my conversion yet, but I have it here in the driveway ready to start on it tomorrow!)
;D BK ;D

When I pulled my floor up, I found the cross beam that supports the rear of the air spring beams was rusted away. The air spring beams on the driver's side was starting to lift the floor.
BK Susan says thanks! Regarding the truck? There's parts of it still under demolition and parts I'm starting to put back together. This past weekend I installed new wall panelling and trim in the living area. Picked up the porcelain tile that I ordered and paid for two months ago. Now I need to install the tile, Then plumbing and A/C then onto the sleeper area! Should be a fun summer!
