Title: Giving the exterior some curb appeal / need some parts
Post by: captain ron on January 02, 2007, 06:11:20 PM
I want to give the exterior some curb appeal.
1. I'm missing the drivers side radiator grill and both scoops. Any body got one? or air scoops?
2. I blew the 2 inside head lights and the bright on one outside light so I left the 2 inside lights and trim out, looks bad. but I'm not sure I want the spend the $20.00 a piece for 24 volt bulbs that may blow again. I would like to convert to 12 volt. I missed a real great opportunity when I left Bryce's place in oct. , There was a complete semi front end on 24 over on the west side of Nashville just laying in the medium. I could have took out my cordless saw and cut out the complete assembly. Square head lights to boot.
3. The ribs on my door don't match with the rest of the bus and the fuel door panel doesn't either. is this common?
4. Would like stainless wheel covers for drive and tag. Have them on steers.
5. Need the rubber gasket that goes behind all the aluminum trim.
6. Need to replace some steel rivets that are rusting with stainless and clean rust stains then start polishing stainless.
7. The hinge on battery compartment is wrong. Some one put a steel piece in with a stainless piano hinge. I think it's supposed to be rubber the steel extension is rusty and needs to be replaced with stainless and ribs lined up if possible.
8. I need the rear rubber trim that goes around the rear wheel wells

Oh for those of you that don't know  MCI-8 1978
