the heating control system was hacked by the p/o and they removed all controls to the heating system. they then added a garden hose valve to control temperature/flow and hot wired the right hand blower motor to a switch. everything from the gradustat, to the booster pump and motor have been removed.

i'm looking to either get the system back to original design or something better. does anyone use the old system still? was it replaced by something newer and more efficient? does anyone have the older system in a wrecked bus that would be willing to sell to me? Thoughts, ideas and advice would be great.
i'm tired of pulling over, getting out of the bus, and going into the storage bay to adjust heat temperature and blower motors. having controls in the front of the bus would be great to have again!

"BarnOwl" can probably help you, he's got a thrashed '06 parts bus that may still have all the OEM stuff. He's located just outside Roanoke, VA.
Send me a PM with your contact info if you're interested and I'll pass it along to Laryn.

I still have the factory bus heat in HUGGY The only thing I control is the fans. I have a toggle switch that is either low off or high.
I can go to the bay and cut the water off to the heaters but i usually just leave it on and use it to help cool that big old
Detroit on hills in the summer.

I'm extremely fortunate that the PO of 4106-1885 kept everything working. What a nice system. We recently took a "exercise run" for an hour up the Interstate while the outside temp was in the 20's. When we stopped for breakfast it was a toasty 72*F inside. The stat works just fine and the blowers and pump do too.
Sorry I have no idea where you might find those kind of parts other than what has been suggested.
