left the bus for 9 mos in the desert - i got there today - did the walk around and topped off oil, water...
it fired right up - ran for about 20 seconds then puttered out
this happened once when i first got the bus and i was able to setup a rig to prime it and it came right back to life
does it sound like a lost prime?
What it sounds like to me
Check your fuel level? some of it might have "disappeared" during that time.
Happy guy. 2 min prime and were up.

Spoke too soon.
It ran for about three min and then studdered and shutdown. It was just airing up. So I am off to review all the things that may shut it down once it starts airing up.

Thanks for the tip Ed. It still has fluid on the stick when I check it. And it smells like diesel.
I was worried for a minute

Ok here is what is happening.
Started the engine and it fires right up
Runs for five minutes sounds smooth
It starts studdering and sounding clunky
I checked and it was at 50psi
It studders out
Then after it is off for about three seconds the fuel shutoff solenoid comes out

Quick update. I think it is fuel related.
I started it again after it shutoff this time without priming it and it barely started for about five seconds and puttered out.

fwiw on my bus if the "Skinner like" valve gets air pressure without the switch being in the right position, as air builds it will shut the fuel off. A bad relay can cause this, also of course all the other engine shut down gizmos some of these buses have. In your position I would probably isolate the fuel shutoff to make sure nothing else in the electrics is telling it to shut off, if the shut down is air powered you can also disengage the air to it, of course then you may not be able to shut it off when you want to. Just a shot in the dark,,,,sometimes it's the easy stuff.
Ok - all is better now. I primed it again and instead of shutting off the main fuel valve I left it open for a minute. Then I let the prime run about a gallon of fuel through the system and it is running and aired up now. Let it run for 15 min or so.
Thanks again guys
