Title: Where can I find breakers?
Post by: Bryan on February 03, 2015, 10:34:15 AM
I'm looking for a 90amp breaker that looks like this... It's the black one in the top middle of the pic. Thanks for your help (https://busconversionmagazine.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ftapatalk.imageshack.com%2Fv2%2F15%2F02%2F03%2F05152050281f012862795e67112b4120.jpg&hash=3b9f2f9f2a2f20075d614aea2c95d0ec83a91869)

Hi Bryan & Folks

The 90 amp has been obsolete for a while.  I do have those breakers in stock, 80amp & 120amp.  If you think either will work for your application, you can reach me toll free at: 1-888-262-2434.

Happy & SAFE!! Bussin' to All.

The CLA series has been replaced by the SDLA series of breakers.  You can find the 90A version here:

http://www.peerlesselectronics.com/store/products/SDLA%252d90.html (http://www.peerlesselectronics.com/store/products/SDLA%252d90.html)

Mounting and connections are not exactly the same, but could be made to work.

A new 80 amp would probably work fine.  The breaker is usually spec'd considerably higher than the load, since it protects the wire, not the load.

Hi Bryan, I was also searching for Klixon breakers and found your post but I also found this ad http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=295728496 (http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=295728496).
They had many values but since my registration process on the forum a few values are gone. Now only CLA-90 CLA-105 and CLA-120 are listed.
