Interesting  -  how many Fishbowls have 4-speed Spicers?   Could it have been a suburban instead a city transit bus?   If so, maybe it has highway gearing?

Can't say I've ever seen one.

I tell ya, for the price that might just be a dandy project.

.... and the listing has been pulled already.  Must have been a good deal because it's sold!

I rode on a couple GM New Looks that had stick shift. They were as stated the suburban configuration. This was back in the late 70's and the only reason I rode on them is because I really wanted to. We had a whole fleet of New Looks here(Milwaukee) and WISCONSIN COACH LINES had some suburban GM New Looks and I wanted to see how they compared to the transits. Felts a bit strange to ride on one that had stick but aside from reclining seats and AC/ they were pretty much the same.
Not sure if automatic was available on suburban models yet but I would imagine that many were refitted to ALLISON.
