As Fast Fred likes to say: Mariners have been putting quarts into pint pots for 5000 years!

Lots to be learned from the marine industry when it comes to space utilization, that's for sure!

While it is true that boats can provide us with examples of efficient use of space, it seems that that is not always RV'ers are looking for.  In probably that majority of cases they want a residential feel.  For example, many have bathrooms that are about full size.

I was on a forum recently, and a guy was looking for RV's with one and a half baths, and the master bath had to have two sinks.  Still don't know what to think of that...
