I don't normally post this stuff - I'm not even into these. But this caught my attention.
This seems like a great deal on a really clean bus.

Interesting. Someone will probably make this happen and restore this. I sure hope so at least.

Is 'silverside' a generic term? I thought it referred to a particular GM model
And, yes, this looks like an excellent basis for a rolling restoration that could be done for a relatively modest cost, and the end result would be quite something (and it's pretty damn cool just as it is)

Fun trying to find a windshield for it.
Well, it doesn't appear to need one yet, so you have time to save the $5000 up for a custom one :)

It differently needs a passengers side windshield they are same as some other truck or bus the PO Gerald Brown told me Gerald pass away a long time ago I didn't know that bus was still around
It had a 2 speed rear axle I don't know if it still has that or not
Cliff, pm me please :) I didn't catch that the ps glass was bad. Bummer

I sent you a PM your photos didn't come through Scott send it again
The windscreens only look to have a simple curve (ie, not a compound curve) so I reckon you could replace that cracked one with plexiglass if you had to, although that may technically be against construction and use regs.
Also just to mention that the back of my bus had a curved glass panel which (I was amazed to find when I removed it) was actually a flat sheet of toughened glass that was bent into place - you wouldn't think that you could bend glass, but you can. Of course it wasn't bent anything like as much as the curve of that Beck's windscreen

Lex an windshields aren't legal here, but I'm sure people are doing it.
