Title: We are Stoked!
Post by: mung on January 06, 2015, 05:23:55 PM
So we have this dog that everyone said was Sharpe and something else.  Most said Boxer or Mastiff, a couple of people said pit.

Well after too many questions and everyone being curios I bought my wife the DNA test for Christmas and we just got the results back.  Turns out that he there is 0 Sharpe, he is Boxer, Flat Coated Retriever, Jindo (a South Korean dog), and low and behold GREYHOUND!!!!  Never would have guessed, but it is very cool to have a dog that is 1/4 Greyhound who likes to hang out on our ex-Greyhound bus.

Our Coon hound Shepherd mix loves it even more than he does.  If you open the door, she runs in and plops down on the couch.  We think she was a hunting dog and probably spent a lot of time in a hunting trailer.

That was tough work for him.  He had to visit everyone at the rally.  He is such a cool dog.

My rottweiler loved bus rides.  And car rides.  He came to work with me almost every day.  Oh, and LOVED the UPS guy.  That caused a problem when a new UPS drive came to the house while we were gone and he jumped into the UPS truck and "trapped" the driver for 30 minutes in the back, away from his phone so he couldn't call for "help".  Needless to say, he was PISSED.

What UPS driving is afraid of any dog?  Every UPS truck has a box of dog treats in it.  I bet dogs all over this world love UPS trucks just for the treats!

My labs run and jump in the UPS truck every time he comes knowing he'll give them treats to lure them out of it! (he knows this from experience and has a pocketful ready when he exits the truck!)

PS our regular mail carrier has treats also and jumps at the chance to pull up to the office from the street box anytime she has a "pkg" to deliver rather than leave it in the box! (really she just loves to play with the pups and gets disappointed when they aren't here to greet her! {sometimes they are out riding or over visiting their aunt Jeannie & uncle Bill!)
