Title: GMC 4107 wiper conversion
Post by: krcevs on December 27, 2014, 01:03:55 PM
I am looking for information on converting from air to electric and what electric wiper motors and wiper transmission assemblies to use? Also the pivot on one of my pantographic wipers has broken off and wondering if there is someone that has replacements or is parting a buffalo bus. I'm also looking for new wiper arms as well.

Thanks
Ken

Ken, Autex has a very nice electric conversion.  Around $900 if you want to go that way. If you can do some work yourself, I would look into getting the electric wiper system from a flat front school bus, maybe from a junkyard in your area.

By the way, where are you located? You can put your location and bus info in your profile, it helps everyone help you!

Sorry I thought I had done that here. Must have just been on the busnuts forum. Im in Berthoud CO. About an hour north of Denver.
I didn't see anything on the Autex's website but I guess it is always better to call.

Thanks,

Ken

AM Equipment in Jefferson, Oregon.  Great products and company.  As far as I know, their kit that I installed on the Silverside is the only Silverside in the world with electric wiper/washers.
