So it's a MCI, what model did you get? If you post the VIN, there are guys here that can give you the history of it.

Is it still a seated bus or is it converted? Makes a big difference for insurance.

We use national interstate insurance, they do a lot of commercial bus insurance and also cover bus conversions.

Tell us where you are and we love photos!!

Also, which state (or province) are you in?  How is the bus registered now (the different categories and the effects that each one will have vary by state)? Do you have insurance on a car or small truck?  Any other large vehicles?

When I picked mine up a few months back, I just talked to my agent in advance.  I explained to him what it was and what I was going to do with it.  He was enthusiastic about my project.  He got me liability for the trip home and wants pictures as I progress on the build so that he can adjust my coverage as I go.

We tried national interstate a few months ago and they made us send pictures of the bus, well ours had been sitting under a tree for 5 years and it was real dirty and when they saw the pictures they denied us the insurance even though it was currently covered by the previous owner. Had we known that we would have washed it first Just figured I would share that in case you have to send pictures, we ended up getting antique insurance from I think foremost.
