I'll start
4104-4519, 671 , 4 speed, drives great and gutted of original conversion , done by early summer( I hope)
West Nyack, NY (20 miles north of NYC, west side of Hudson River)
There are three of us in Connecticut, a GM,MCI & Prevost. This is what I know of but maybe more.
I'm the MCI owner in CT, 1973 MC-7 combo, (duals on both rear axles), converted in 1987, has a beautiful 450HP 8V92T that I would have never been able to afford....and also a Allison 740.
I'm working on it and learning, PO kept it in beautiful shape, had inside storage for 15 years.
We need tires now and it's killing us, big nut to swing, we need 10 of them. Planning for the spring.
We are in Woodbury CT, between Waterbury and Danbury.
I'm the GM owner, located in NE Connecticut. My bus is usually ready to go but I'm working on installing triple bunks and a shower. Slowly working on, I should note. Currently using three hammocks which the kids seem really enjoy!
I should add that I met scanzel, (Steve ) and one lapper (Mark) last year at Steve's house and we had a great visit. I think it would be great to get all the CT bus guys together in the spring and gather somewhere locally. I would be willing to set this up , just need ideas...
I am close by Nel I am out by the Delaware water gap right off of RT 80, 60 miles west of NYC.
I am in Central PA, but would attend if over a long weekend.
I hope Dr Doofenshmirtz would attend also if it is in the TRI-STATE AREA(wait--too much 2nd hand Disney) ;D ;D
Steve Toomey
Hope to meet some of you guys this summer, not doing as much interior work as I would like so far this winter . The 4104 is sleeping for the winter in the back yard.
Jim , I ride my motorcycle out that way once in a while , really nice out there

Pretty area! Always loved that drive through the gap
MC 9 in Western NY.. Still sort of North East..would be interested in a gtg this summer in NY or Pa...
Bruce, I'm in. Great idea!
I thought there was a 4106 owner in NH. Or did that suffer a blown engine? Must be some more NE owners.
looks like its time for another get together Tfools! lol We are 2 hours from the gap go thru there often in fact this sunday will shoot by. I liked the meet we had near Port Jarvis off 84. I would be up for bus up. There are a few busgroups in the NE, including the Bussin Buddies, GMBONE (gmbus owner of NE).
Between a new Grandson, and a wedding and life in general, the bus has taken the short end of the stick.. Got a bunch of work done since our last gtg. Keep us posted on some potential dates and locations in the north east ! Heck, maybe diesel will be cheap next summer lol
Our 4106 is in southern n.h. Our bus always ready. rally would be kewl !
John, have you heard from Kevin? hope all is well, 10 4 on the being busy stuff.
I haven't heard from him in years.. Looks like the last time he was here was 2013.. Ill send him a pm

Hey loveshack! You're pretty close to me! Do you know who owned the 4106 in NH or VT that had engine trouble a couple years ago? I thought he said he was going to scrap his bus. I reached out to him to help with parts but never heard from him.
Hey onelapper how close are you ? No didn't know the guy with blown 4106. I did reach out also .. I can't remember if he answered or not I did ask if he needed help or if he wanted to sell the ole girl . It seems he didn't want much . Hope it didn't get scrapped .... All of us fools up here in Iceland haha I am kidding! Need a rally this coming summer... I would help out for sure ... I guess place and time most important after that I guess it happens and we all learn from there !merry Christmas everyone don't forget a gift for your bus!
I have been looking for an excuse to get going again. Parked my 4106 a few yearsago because I needed tires now I need a knee too.

Looks like you're 2 hours from me, provided 495 isn't a mess. Yeah, too bad we never heard the outcome for that poor bus. I think he walked away from it instead of paying the tow bill to the garage. I was on a weekend motorcycle cruise around that time and kept an eye out for it while my buddies and and I criss-crossed our way up through NH and VT.
I'll talk with Bruce and help get something organized for a NE/Tri State GTG.
I'm down here in Central Jersey and learning myself. I picked up a 1958 but I can't tell which model. I'd love to get in on that get together and pick your brains.
1967 General Motors SDM 5302 suburban coach, 8V-71 four-speed Spicer mechanical transmission, seated restoration project. New Rochelle, N.Y.

Loveshack, yup! You drove right past my place, I'm a couple miles off Rt 395 in Thompson. Talking about peeps, I was at a race one weekend at Louden with my bus and trailer. I came back to the bus and found absolute strangers inside it! Long story, but one of them ended up buying a Prevost and converted it! We're still friends today.
We'll get something planned soon!
We are indeed in the North East - go to Maine and turn right for three or four hours, you get to Nova Scotia.
We'd be in for a meet in NH, NY, Maine...
Brian
Hey Guys,
I'm in NYC and I have an 84 MC9.. I mainly use it in the summer and aside from two round trips to Los Angeles, I mainly go camping upstate NY and I love it !!
I love my bus and I love upstate. My dream is to buy 20 plus acres up there and build a big bus barn and eventually have two or 3 buses.
I would love a northeast bus rally! Where ever it is, count me in ! Who's up for helping me put a series 60 in an MC9 ? Nah :) Just kidding! I do dream about it.
Is that even possible ?
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everybody !!!!
Seville, how do you park that MCI-9 in NYC? A tough place to keep a bus! Give you a lot of credit!
Bruce
I still have the 1983 Prevost in North Creek, NY, about 90 minutes north of Albany.
Finally have both time and money. Looking forward to getting some work done.
I've got a Webasto 2020 on the way. A bunch of 'new' tires to put on, a pair of Alcoa rims for the front, a new grinder, plans to attend a welding class in February, and 3 extra 'newer' bus batteries and a Freedom 458 to hook up. Going to hook solar into the equation at some point too.
Need to find a power steering leak, change the oil, get new driver and entrance door windows, get a new title.
Big plans!
-Nate
Bruce,
I live in New Rochelle, but I also park my bus in the City. It's a lot cheaper than any place in Westchester County. If I tried to park it in my driveway, my neighbors would stop by wit torches and pitchforks. My neighbors in North Carolina don't mind at all.
- Seaton
Hey Seville and Bruce,
We are within 25 miles of each other. I love upstate NY also. I'm a real big fan of the Lake George area and have been going up there since I was a kid, but never had a bus till last year, can't wait. We should definitely join forces one day.
Thinking about the land upstate someday too.
Mel, see what you started here? 3 pages of posts and now we all know each other and where we are. Great post! I'm going to try and put everyone on a map, maybe I can share that. Seems like the rally should be in the Albany area where 90 and 87 join.......of course open to suggestions, we always like the ocean and there are a couple of good spots on the RI shore.
I'm thinking maybe the May timeframe? Thoughts?
Saratoga State Park comes to mind for a gathering place. It's 30 minutes north of Albany and 30 minutes south of Lake George. About an hour south of where I live.
Any other old Prevosts in the area?
The Albany area definitely works for us. There are also a ton of cool places in the Adirondacks area north of there.. Anytime in spring/summer for the most part works for us..
Wow,
I was just curious.
Now I have a new goal to get this bus done to meet all you fine folks. Did someone mention in May? Yikes!
Nel
What does that mean, bus being done ?
My 4104 was beautifully converted , except that was in the 80's when shag carpeting must have been the covering of choice on every stinking surface of the interior , sooooooooooooo, I have gutted the interior and started over.
Hardwood flooring and new everything. A ton of work and a labor of love, that I hope is DONE by spring/summer. Nel
Wow, very ambitious ! I just assumed, using my conversion as a gauge, that conversions were lifelong projects lol !
Well, I'm the one that said May, .....maybe June? Ours is like Nels already converted, a little dated, no shag carpet thankfully! I have put the pressure on myself as well, the bus is not moving far without $3000 worth of tires unless I figure out a way to do it for less.
We have to get together and meet everyone, I never realized we had so many in the northeast, this has been a great post. I will try and put everyone on a map and share it after the holidays.
And of course, the Bus is never done, I have so many things I want to do, but it is very usable so no excuse for not getting together except tires!
I am on the east coast ,in New Hampshire 30 min from the beach!,,I was in touch with the owner of that 4106,He sold it to a dealer or Traded for a car!! blown head gasket! john 4905
Actually I am using the word "DONE" very loosely , I do have a day job, LOL, Nel
I have to be at Mosport in Ontario the weekend of June 19 - 21, taking two cars to a big Vintage car race, so the weekend before or after that would be cool.
Brian
Brian, we will see if we can make those dates work, seems good for us. Of course for all you non Northeast bus guys looking at this post, we welcome anyone to join us!! I will post something on the forum once we get it all settled. Just keep in mind that I've never put together a bus meet before and only attended one so this needs to be a joint effort, I need help from all you veterans. please keep the ideas coming. PM me if you want. I like the idea of Saratoga state park and will look at that first.
Thanks all for keeping this going!
The weekend after would be our vote.. Id be glad to help organize or do whatever to help make this happen...
Yay !! Northeast Bus Rally !!!
Very exciting ! My work schedule is flexible so whenever works for everyone works for me as well. The same goes for the location. It's funny, I was planning to go up to Rhode Island this past summer since I have never been up there with my own bus but I was too busy at work to get away this summer.
Hi Emcemv and Nel. I got an early start driving trucks in the city. When I was a little kid my dad had a candy distribution route in Manhattan and the Bronx, so as soon as I was old enough to drive I started driving his Chevy step van. That was about 25 feet i think, after that I got my air brakes and passenger endorsement cause I knew one day I would have a bus.
I eventually got a job driving luxury converted buses that are used for film shoots, TV commercials , videos. They are basically dressing rooms on wheels but they were really beautiful with all the bells and whistles for the stars. It's just practice. All of you guys are capable of driving a coach in the city.
If you can drive your coach period. You can drive here, it's just taking it slow and watching your mirrors and a little practice, mainly to loose your fear or concern.
There is so much traffic here that nobody really gets above 30 MPH. As a matter of fact they just lowered the speed limit here to 25 MPH. They say hitting a person with a vehicle at 25 vs 30 MPH means the difference between life and death. I believe it, as I have seen people get hit by cars. It's a gruesome sight that I hope to never see again. When I drive my bus, I'm like a turtle crawling along at 20 or 25 tops! I certainly don't want to hit anybody with a 30,000 lbs coach ! Yikes !!
Anyway if any of you guys want to meet up sometime down here or upstate, PM me. I would love to meet other bus nuts around here!
Have a great Christmas and Holidays everybody !!
I'm also willing to help out in anyway I can. I've never planned a bus rally either but I'm sure all the fine folks on this board can give us some pointers.
Yeah and I agree with the bus is never finished ! My list just keeps getting longer and longer !
I love it ! I feel like a million bucks when I'm behind the wheel of my bus ! Hitting the highway at a breathtaking 68 MPH :)
Let's have a contest of who can go up a steep hill the slowest !!
A little further west from most of you posting in this thread - we are outside of Rochester, NY with a 1977 Eagle.
I am willing to help with this. I live 30 minutes north of Lake George in North Creek. I run a whitewater rafting business, so I know all of the campgrounds and other places for visitors to the area. We could even work a raft trip into the itinerary if there is interest, but I know that's a long time away from the buses :)
There are some great scenic loops through the Adirondacks if we wanted to do a 'ride'. Starting in North Creek, go north on NY28N to Newcomb to Long Lake to Blue Mountain Lake, then south on NY28 to Indian Lake and back to North Creek.
Just another thought...as a resident of North Creek, I can 'rent out' our Ski Bowl Park where they host the annual Bluegrass Festival and/or our Hudson Riverfront Park (right on the river, next to the scenic railroad station). They both have ample parking for buses and covered pavilions.
-Nate
I'm so glad we are keeping this post going! Thanks for all the offers of help, we can do this!
Kitt, I travel to Webster NY, just east of Rochester several times a year so I know the area well. Hope you can join us!
Nate, renting the riverfront park sounds interesting, if you have any more info, can you email me at the email in my profile? Or friend me on FB if you are into that or send me a PM.
I think it would be cool to have a map showing the location of all of us, I will work on that first but I Also think we need to fix a date in June and decide on a place so we can get working on reservations. I'm thinking the weekend before the 4th of July which would be June 26/27/28/29 using the Friday and Monday makes it a nice long weekend.
Bruce
I'd like at least electric... We can deal with no water or sewer (worste case scenario lol).. And glad to see another western New Yorker!
Hi Nate, I usually head up to Americade in Lake George every first week in June , maybe I can head up there a see your place. The whole area is really nice . I remember some long up hills once you pass exit 21 Lake Geo. on the North way.
End of June sounds pretty good to me too. Nel
John
I think we would all agree that we need at least electric hookup, I will make that essential in my search for places. I will post some suggestions soon, we need to nail down the place and date by the end of. January.
Bruce
We are also so glad this post was started .. Will help if needed any dates work for us ... Hope everyone had a great Christmas ... I took the ole girl (4106 that is) for a spin on Friday ... Just because I could haha !!! It was just as awesome as that first nice ride out on the harley like that first warm spring day uno ? Can't wait to meet everyone and see your buses!
Johnjem what town are you in ? I am also 30 min from beach... I am in gonic right next to rochester and dover
Well, I am in Southern Maine - and I just have a little bitty Bluebird Transit conversion I use for commercial use but it would be cool to meet some of you folks and get some insight. I'm sure it won't be too long before I put my big boy pants on a tackle a bigger rig to travel the country in with the wife and son :-) I've got a lotta' bus learnin' to do before then ;) I did all the conversion work on the BB myself and, of course, it's never really "done".
Not sure about the numbers we're talking here but one thing I have always thought would be cool is to organize groups into "wagon circles" or something similar and give them a name, number, color or something to reference them by, so its easy to identify where you are at. - for example "nice to meet you Nate, stop by and see me at "blue 13" (or "whiskey 5", "paris 9" etc.) if you get a chance. Thant beats - "I'm over in the first section to the left near the bathrooms to the left of the pond between the row of MCI's and the volkswagon bus, next to the guy with the tequila fountain".
Hmmmm, Tequila Fountain..............maybe rum punch......... What? - anyway, nice talking to you guys!
Hi Guy's,
Here in Cape May County, NJ (way down south) lol.. 89' MCI 102C3 06' conversion.
I'm usually very busy from May to September with our biz in our resort area but, we are always looking to have
rally's spring or fall.

I would love to see that ole girl again some day...
Spent many weekends aboard her and have seen many places!
Keep in touch
Nick-
I could be talked into it. Got a spot on lake Onieda I was planning on visiting around that time. Would be good to take a trip and meet everyone.
Slightly North of most of you in Granby Quebec (1.5 hours north of Burlington VT), My bus should be livable by then, but with a 1964 SDM 5302 you never know... ;).
Want to meet up with you johnjem sometime .Would love to see your coach or you stop n see mine, We're. So close! happy newyear!
YA, sounds good, my 4905 is in construction faze, And frozen..Its getting all new battery cables know, getting ready for the fresh batteries in the spring!! 1.603.498.4234 text is best!!
I kind of thought Nate's reply and suggestion in this post sounds pretty good, sounds like he knows the area the best. I have been to Lake George a 100 times to vacation with a boat and motorcycle, just never with a bus or to a camp site. Nel
