My wife informed me that I can't spend all my time working on the bus!!! That there were things around the house that require my attention.
What do new wives cost nowadays?

I'm afraid to look, I've had this one over 40 years.
I was taught not to pick a fight, rather pick your fights.
So my basic recommendation to you is skirt this one.
And at least leave the house from a door so you have to go around the house!
best of luck
Yeah, Jim. I know what you mean. I lost my 'reason for living' in February after 40 wonderful years.
Please treasure her and tell her so everyday as know one knows
'what the morrow brings'.

Before you get the new one, the old one will cost you 50% of all that you have. ;D
We used to say that we couldn't split up because somebody would have to take the kids and neither of us wanted them (we made sure the kids heard that). Now they're grown and we're free from that limitation. But now we're to old to remember what we argued about.

So, here's how you handle this one. First, you get the vacuum out. Plug it in and turn it on for 5 seconds. Then put it back in the closet. Do the same with the
washing machine, dish washer and stove. Once you've done all that, you look at her and say, "Ok. I've checked that all you appliances are still in working order."
Then you go back out to the bus and get busy.
Problem solved.
::)

Scott, home grown or mail order, still takes an awful lot of green stamps!!
Krank you're absolutely correct!!
Do they even still make them green stamps? I remember having to lick them suckers and put them in the books for my mom, ewwwwwww I can still taste it. She did give me a swig of her OJC to wash the taste away though ::)

Not that it's a fight I ever had a dog in but I figger it's like a yacht -- if you need to ask, you can't afford it!
Thank you for those kind words, Bruce.
I am sorry for your loss, as well.
This old life can certainly be cruel.
Being 74, no gal would want me and the paradoxical thing about it, is that if one did, I wouldn't want her..... ;D
Yes, life is 'funny'/strange; you never know what is around the corner. I hope around my corner is a good bus.

Confucius say "man with happy wife have happy life". Sometimes yah gotta go out of your way to keep 'em happy -- best time and money you'll ever spend (if you got a good one in the first place).
After all these years with some of the ideas I've came up, I really can't complain. After all she did let me buy a bus!!
As my good friend Thom Shepherd wrote; It's cheaper to keep her than it is to let her go.
While this is true, it was worth the price for the upgrade on my trade-in. I think I will keep the new one though.
To which I have to reply, if you don't ask about fuel costs and other associated expenses, it may be likely that that person never accumulated enough money to afford one.
Just me being mouthy again.

That was my status, even before I stopped being a useful, productive, appreciated citizen and became fodder fuh dem Gummint Death Panels and began living with my snout in the Gummint trough. Which is why I ain't got (or never had) a dog in that fight.
