Well, I finally got back from Afghanistan Monday, and was reunited with my bus Tuesday morning!
I figured I would have to charge the batteries after sitting over 7 months with no trickle chargers on them, but I thought I'll give it a try. To my great surprise it fired right off! Of course it only ran a few minutes, as it had lost prime sitting so long, which I thing is the seal on the spin-on filters.
After I re-primed it, I took it right over to get inspected. I am having the shop flush and replace the coolant, which looked suspect, and has not been replaced since I had the engine put in about 10 yrs ago. I've got a couple of things to do before we head south, but hopefully we leave on 10 November.(wife says a bathroom door would be nice ;D)

Welcome back - glad you're safe. Good travels (and, yes, wives are pretty touchy about bathroom doors ... which is fine by me).
Steve, Glad to see you're back and ready to travel. Have many safe miles. As I read your post I noticed you're using military date (10 November). I still do also and it really seems to screw with peoples minds.... ;D
Welcome back Steve, day, month, year, especially in all numbers, has always made sense, reinforced by working with the satellite people, tom...
That's what sheets are for (LOL)
Tell her she can just close her eyes while using it. Glad you're back. Would have been nicer if it was spring instead of late fall, but you take what you can get.
