This is our first Christmas away from the North East.
Even though the stores and all the usual decor is well in place, I just can't seem to let the reality of Christmas sink into me here.
It has to be the tempature outside [85 today] and having the A/C's running just places you in july or june of sort.
I'm sure when I return to New Jersey in January, it's gonna Stink.... [I'm spoiled for sure] My wife and I keep forgetting that
all this traffic on the roads is for Christmas shopping and not so much the tourists. So far, we only did the Magic Kingdom and I
think that will be all this time, the admission prices keep going up and up every year.
Here are a couple photo's so far..

PS, the turkey legs are awsome....
Nick,
What the H%$@ are you eating???
Great place ... Disney for the kids at Christmas.
You do the evening Christmas light parade -- forget what they call it?
Jerry H.
Yup, Christmas day in Flrorida is a shocker for a northerner.
We did it in 2003 for the first time.
Buck Rogers in the 25th century....
But I'd like to work towards it being a more "normal" condition....
happy coaching!

Nick,
What do mean "doesn't seem like Christmas"? We have Santa Claus and if you want a White Christmas, go to the beach (and you do not need to scoop that "White Christmas" off your driveway. We certainly prefer our temperatures down here for Christmas Day. Makes it much easier to try out all the "outdoor stuff" ya'll get for Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Jack
Sometimes it really gets cold down here and we have to put on long pants. WHAT A BUMMER!!!
Enjoy it
Steve
Merry Christmas everyone! I have not lived in Florida for many years. But I do fondly remember going swimming
Christmas day. I will take that over shoveling the white fluffy stuff anyday. Have a blast in Arcadia and please
have a frosty adult beverage for me.
Frank
Nick,
As a lifelong resident of Florida I have to agree with you.
I like Christmas when it drops down to 45 or 50. You know Colddddddd!
And then warms up to 60 during the day.
Cliff
p.s. If Jack didnt tell you those were Buzzard legs they sell to the tourists, I wont either.
Thanks for the reminders Guy's....
Cliff, It's Christmas eve and my wife is dressing my son to hit the pool. OK, I'm Lovin it! "Buzzard Legs.....Hummmm Tasted real good though"
I could get real use to this....

Nick,
Floridians love to brag about our weather in the Winter.
But the bragging ends quickly around here in June, July and August. Its Hot and Humid.
btw-I like the Turkey legs too....
