In an XL2 and a trailer - 65' total length. Anyone done this route? I have but I cant remember it all, and it was with that length.
Would think that south through Kalispell and Hwy 93 would be best route. Good wide road most of the way. Cannot go via Going to the Sun, nothing over 22 feet allowed.
I remember 93 being a very scenic route but has some tight spots through some of the towns. If you want to stay on Interstate, I-15 to I-90 to Missoula.

This is 4 lane most of the way, but will run you about 8 1/2 hours. All good road though. Also runs you right past my place on the way to Helena. ;D
Crow's Nest and/or Glacier is going to be too slow and windy for him. I'm sending him 15 to 200 in Vaughn and up over Roger's Pass. Thats a pretty open road and if there is any wildlife he'll at least be able to see them.
He' driving an artist/group so this isnt a vacation trip. Thanks for the input.

Nope, Roger's Pass to Lincoln is currently under construction almost the whole way, dirt, gravel, multiple tight spots, one lane construction, delays and 35 mph. That I why I suggested the other route.
Wow, I didnt know that, thanks for letting me know. We were just over there but choose 89 back through Glacier to get to Kalispell instead of going through the Swan. Anyways, I'll pass it on.
"MT-200 - Mile Marker 75.8 to 83.1
Beginning 3 miles east of Lincoln and continuing east 7.2 miles.
Paving in progress. Multiple flagging stations throughout project.
EXPECT: Reconstruction activities; delays up to 15 minutes; reduced speed of 35 MPH; pilot cars; gravel surface; grooved surface; traffic controlled by signal lights; flaggers; motorcycles consider another route."
It has been a mess all summer, so much so that we have been going through Helena and actually gaining time.
